THE CONSULAR CORPS OF JAMAICA
The Consular Corps of Jamaica is a body whose members consist of Honorary Consuls, Honorary Consul Generals, Honorary Vice Consuls and Career Consuls accredited to Jamaica. The objects of the Corps is to promote and maintain harmonious relations on all matters of common interest and to secure solidarity of representation and sympathetic corporation viz-a-via all authorities and organisations that may be brought into relation with the Corps.
An Honorary Consul is the official representative of the government of one state in the territory of another. Honorary Consuls act to assist and protect the citizens of the consul's own country, and to facilitate trade and friendship between the people of the country to whom he or she is accredited and the country of which he or she is a representative.

Mr. Michael Subratie is the Managing Director of T. Geddes Grant (Distributors) Limited as well as the Chief Operating Officer / Director of the Musson Group of Companies in charge of Musson’s manufacturing & trading business entities. Michael is a director of the Seprod Group of Companies.
Michael has served on several government boards including the Urban Development Corporation, Jamaica Urban Transit Company, Jamaica Railway Corporation, Montego Freeport Limited and the former Pegasus Hotel. He also sits on the board of the American Chamber of Commerce, and he is the Honorary Consul of Bangladesh.
On November 1, 2016, Michael was appointed as Dean of The Consular Corps of Jamaica. In his capacity as Dean, Michael represents over 47 countries that do not have resident ambassadors in Jamaica.
Michael is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Mr. Subratie holds both a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with highest honor from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from Purdue University. Michael also specializes in new venture development. He has started several businesses including Hot Shots Limited, Jamaica Juice, Hurry Curry, Tron Limited & most recently Mi Island limited.
